Welcome to India – when you touch down, you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to hotel. Your room will be booked from previous night for immediate check in. Delhi is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world. Having been the capital of several empires in ancient India, Delhi was a major city in the old trade routes from northwest India to the Gangetic Plains. As the seat of the Government of India, New Delhi houses important offices of the federal government, including the Parliament of India. This morning you will have some time to sleep and rest after your long flight. We will start our touring of Old Delhi after late breakfast. We begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation, and Jama Mosque, the largest in India. Later, we will explore the windy and narrow streets of Chandni Chowk by cycle rickshaw. We’ll pass Shah Jahan’s Red Fort and continue our visit into New Delhi touring Humayun’s Tomb, and the India Gate. Overnight in Delhi.

After breakfast at hotel, we will check-out and proceed to the massive Qutub Minar, a minaret which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After this visit, we will be on the Delhi Jaipur express highway for our next stop which is Jaipur. On arrival, transfer to hotel and check-in. Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, is the colorful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colorful past, resplendent with tales of valor & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur is not only the gateway to the state; it is also the most natural place to begin a discovery of Rajasthan’s multifaceted attractions. Will end our day with an evening visit to the Laxmi Narayan Birla Temple – This temple forms one of the most beautiful attractions of Jaipur, and looks stunning, when it is brightly lit in the night. After breakfast, we’ll set about exploring the city. We’ll lead off with the imposing Amber Fort (where you will enter riding an elephant!). Later stops on our visit include the Jantar Mantar Observatory, the City Palace and the fanciful Palace of Winds (photo stop). We’ll make sure to set aside free time in the evening to visit the local bazaars. Overnight in Jaipur.

Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and drive to Bharatpur. En route we will stop at Abhaneri Step wells. Abhaneri is a small village which has one of India’s deepest and largest step wells. Step wells are unique to India, and were invented by natives to harvest rain water, and they also served as pools for ritual cleansing before a temple visit. On our way, we shall stop by at a local rural village, learn about local life and gain an insider’s look at the rituals of daily life for dozens of families living there. After this visit, we will continue our drive towards Bharatpur which is best known for the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, an important way station for many types of migratory birds including the rare Siberian Crane. This is a city with great history that was ruled by jats and has a distinct place in Jat history. On arrival, we will check into our hotel. After a brief rest, we will visit the Bird Sanctuary for a walking tour and rickshaw ride in the park with a naturalist. This park is not just limited to migratory birds, but also hosts a whole lot of flora and fauna. You will get some good time to spend your evening in this calm and serene surroundings. Overnight in Bharatpur.

After breakfast at hotel, we shall check-out and drive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri en-route. Fatehpur Sikri was originally built as the capital of the Mughal empire, but eventually abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Continue your drive towards Agra. On arrival check in at hotel. Agra is famous as being home to one of the seven wonders of the world – the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. City is also known for its carpets, gold thread embroidery, leather shoes and its inlay work on marble by craftsmen supposedly the descendants of those who worked under the Mughals on the Taj. Today’s sightseeing tour of Agra centers on one of the trip’s true highlights: the magnificent Taj Mahal. We will also visit the famous Agra Fort, seat of Mughal power. Overnight in Agra.
