The lush forest, pristine beaches and 3000 feet mountains of Ilha Grande have dazzled visitors for centuries. After a 2 hours drive from Rio and a 30 minutes boat ride, we arrive at the charming car-free village of Abraão. On our first day we explore the famous Abraão x Lopes Mendes trail, crossing tropical forests and paradisiacal beaches. At night we enjoy the pleasant ambience of the village’s streets, bars and restaurants. On our second day a 4 hours boat trip will take us for snorkeling at the beautiful Lagoa Azul (The Blue Lagoon) and swimming at Freguesia de Santana and Japariz beaches. At night time we return to Rio.
