Corcovado is certainly Brazil´s most famous landmark and it deserves the title! Situated inside the area of the Tijuca National Park, a green tropical forest area covering some 39,5 km² (15.3 mi²), the mountain summit is one of the best view points of many you can find in the city! We start the hike at the Parque Lage at sea level, and go up to 710mts high (2330 fts)! The trail takes about 2:30hs up and it does not involve any rock climbing! At the summit we have an incredible view of Rio and it´s most famous landmark, the impressive statue of Christ the Redeemer. On the way down we will take the trail back to Parque Lage and drive you back to hotel.
